An initiative by the Co-op Group and supported by The Omidyar Network and Co-op Foundation, it is a community based on ethical values committed to creating a more inclusive digital economy. They aim to offer alternative business models to the technology sector such as co-operatives, community interest companies and social enterprise to disrupt the homogenous economic model currently heavily biased towards Silicon Valley Venture Capitalists. The Federation are currently providing funded space to some organisations in that area and curating an events series looking at tech ethics and the use of tech for social good.
