Chorlton C of E Primary School ran a design competition for their Bee, using Manchester as their inspiration. They studied famous Mancunian artists, music, architecture and historical moments. The ‘Sewing Bee’ was chosen for its bright, geometric pattern, the significance of the cotton industry, and the symbolism of the patchwork quilt, which represents Manchester as a rich tapestry of different cultures.
