Manchester has one of the largest tech industries outside of London. With several innovative start-up companies based here, it has a growing reputation for technology, leading edge design and cyber knowledge. Standing on a hive of binary code this Bee is painted as a circuit board, with computer chips and small elements referencing honeycomb hexagons and the intelligence of a hive.

One Red Shoe are artists Fiona and Neil Osborne. Based in the North West, they have been designing and painting public art and murals for homes and businesses since 2003.
