Design Inspiration

This Bee complements the stunning qualities of the Corn Exchange, one of Manchester’s most iconic and best loved buildings. Reinvented several times, it acquired Edwardian charm in the early 1900s with the addition of a glass dome and striking façade. The recent redevelopment by the owner Aviva Investors transformed it as home to restaurants and an apartment hotel, and gave it a fresh, modern twist – reflected in this contemporary Bee design.

Corn Exchange is a stunning Grade II listed building at the heart of Manchester, housing 13 restaurants offering a variety of world cuisine, as well as an exciting Escape Hunt experience and luxury Roomzzz aparthotel. Since opening in 2015, the destination has become one of the most popular leisure hubs in Manchester. The destination is proud to provide a home to one of the spectacular Bee sculptures.
