Lancashire ‘lass’ Cathrine’s inspiration came from her personal experience of being on the brink of homelessness (if it hadn’t been for her family, it could have happened). A place to call ‘home’ is a human need and this is the same as a bee’s needs, with pollen and nectar for food and a hive for shelter. The design depicts many forms of dwellings.
Bupa UK’s purpose is helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives. With no shareholders, Bu pa’s customers are its focus. The company reinvests profits into providing more and better healthcare for the benefit of current and future customers. Bu pa’s heritage in Manchester goes back seventy years and the company has grown to become one of the city’s biggest employers.
Catherine is a self-taught artist and Lancashire lass who takes delight in studying her subjects, both creatures great and small, to produce unique pieces of art utilising a variety of mediums. Her most recent experimentation has been with nail polish, which has enabled her to create vibrant art with a shiny tactile finish. @cartdawes
