Name: Map of the Worker Bees
Designed and decorated by: Caroline Coates.
Sponsor: Marketing Manchester
Inspired by the origins of the Manchester worker bee, the surface of this Bee is covered in maps of Manchester. These depict the city’s growth, from the Industrial Revolution to the present day, and tell a fascinating story of dynamic expansion and continued change. The Bee sits on a globe of bees, as featured on Manchester’s famous crest.
Inspiring visitors, investors and businesses across the globe to share in our original modern city, Marketing Manchester is the agency charged with promoting Greater Manchester on a national and international stage as a place to visit, invest, meet and study.
