Name: Manchester – the Place to ‘Bee’
Designed and decorated by: Sian Bristow.
Sponsor: NCP
Inspired by Salford’s beloved artist, Lowry, this Bee captures the buzz of city life and shows the mills, viaducts, football stadiums and factories that Lowry’s art featured. The design gradually gains colour as the buildings become higher. This depicts the growth of the city throughout its history; full of life, and always keeping the unique Mancunian vibe.
National Car Parks (NCP) is the largest parking provider in the UK, providing value for money parking in cities and at airports and rail stations with over 150,000 spaces in over 500 sites.
After completing her Art and Design Foundation Studies, Sian set up her business creating body castings in her home studio. She has been a freelance artist for over 3 years, specialising in the castings as well as pencil portraits and paintings. Sian's artwork has also appeared in another Wild in Art project - Lincoln Knight's Trail. http://www.bodycastingbysian.co.uk @sian_bristow
