Design Inspiration

This Bee fuses two cultures in one harmonious piece. Jessica wanted to design a sculpture fit to stand in the courtyard of a Chinese emperor and celebrating the dragons found in the folklore and art of ancient China. The bright and vivid colours bring life to a Chinese traditional style hosted in the heart of Manchester – allowing the art of two peoples to come together.

Crowne Plaza & Staybridge Suites Manchester – Oxford Road Manchester’s first dual-branded hotel opens this summer in The Lume, a new 19-storey hotel development. With panoramic views over Manchester City, the stunning building is on the Oxford Road Corridor. Featuring 328 stylishly appointed guest rooms and suites, meeting rooms, gym and club lounge. Enjoy the excitement of live cooking in The Laureate Restaurant or the inspiring drinks selection in The Graduate Bar.
