From Rochdale, Helen is inspired by the city region’s ongoing regeneration and redevelopment, and is proud of its people’s way of using difficult situations as a catalyst for positive change. Focusing on the famous ‘Bumblebee Transformer’, the design gives a nod to the powerful determination of Manchester people, and highlights the city’s strengths in the technology, digital and animation sectors.
Great Northern Warehouse, an iconic Grade II listed building, is the epicentre of Manchester’s industrial heritage. It is now home to more than 25 brands encompassing restaurants, bars, entertainment, health & fltness, property and business. From catching a fllm at Odeon, browsing bespoke furniture at Wesley Barrell, and enjoying a meal there is something for everyone at the former railway goods building.
Helen Russell is inspired by the natural world, storytelling and illustration. She enjoys muddy adventures and can often be found exploring forests, mountains and other wild places. Helen’s BA (Hons) in Three-Dimensional Design from Manchester Metropolitan University means she has worked with many different materials but clay, wood and the mighty black fibre-tip pen are her first loves. http://www.helenrussellcreations.com @He1enRusse11
