Kate Eggleston-Wirtz is an American multi-disciplinary visual artist and published poet who has lived in UK for over 20 years.
Kate specialises in 3D pieces which often focus on heritage and issue-based themes, using place and identity as a foundation. These artworks are often created in response to historic research and socially engaged processes, combining relevant symbolic materials to tell stories that instigate discussions with contemporary audiences. Original poetry and educational packs are sometimes included in the final work. The artworks have been commissioned for exhibition and are often resources that encourage dialogue for educational and reminiscence purposes.
